Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the construction of a structure at great depth by a method in which a plurality of earth anchors are driven in a settling position, and the body of a structure is penetrated into the ground by the reaction of the earth anchors by means of a jack in a jack chamber provided to the lower part of the body.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of earth anchors 5 are driven in a settling position and thrust upwards from the cutting edge 3 of an underground structure body 1. A jack chamber 23 is provided to the lower wall of the body 1 and a double chuck type center hole jack 25 is set in the chamber 23. A step rod 8 is connected to a PC strand 7 of the anchors 5 by couplers 9, and while holding the rod 8 by the subchuck of the jack 25 alternately, the anchors 5 are pulled and the body 1 is penetrated into the ground by the reaction of the anchors 5.
