Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an Fe-Ni high permeability magnetic alloy excellent in hot workability and blanking workability, by preparing an alloy consisting of specific percentage of Ni, Mn, Mo, B, C, P, and Fe.
CONSTITUTION: The Fe-Ni alloy consisting of, by weight, 70W85% Ni, 1.2W10% Mn, 1.0W6.0% Mo, 0.0020W0.015% B, ≤0.01% C, ≤0.005% S, ≤0.01% P, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and containing, if necessary, 1.0W6.0% Cu and/or 1.0W5.0% Cr is prepared. This alloy is free from the influence of cooling-velocity conditions in a magnetic annealing stage and has superior magnetic properties and, moreover, it is excellent in hot workability and blanking workability.
