Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily reproduce a document without deteriorating a bit of picture information, by reading a code outputted from a form, and re-accessing to a prescribed bit of picture information, or bit of document information, based on a read code.
CONSTITUTION: In the titled system, a finished picture image is outputted by a printer 9, or deformation required for the output by an external storage device 8 is performed on an output format picture memory 20. Thus, when a document printed and outputted once on a sheet of paper is reproduced, or when the document is produced anew, a code input part 7a (bar code reader 7) reads a code part 23, and based on a read code, an address generating part 12 generates an address. And based on the address, a retrieval device 13 retrieves the picture corresponding to objected picture part 21 and character part 22 automatically. A picture data retrieved in such a way is developed again on a retrieving picture memory 14, then an editing process is performed on the data. In this way, the document can be easily reproduced without deteriorating the bit of picture information.
