Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the opening size and breaking pressure accurately at the breakage of a traveller, by arranging an operating means on a stationary mounting member where one traveller gripper is fastened detachably and a pressure sensor on a mobile mounting member arranged slidably where the other traveller gripper is fastened detachably. CONSTITUTION:Two steel balls 21 are arranged in series between a spindle of a micrometer head 13 and a pressure sensor 20 and a pressure working during the operation of the head 13 is transmitted to the sensor 20 through the steel balls 21. A spring 23 for returning a traveller gripper 16 is arranged between a hollow body 22 and a mobile guide 17. Moreover, a working rod 24 is arranged on the hollow body 22 with the one end thereof 24 connected to a working transformer. In operation, a traveller is placed on traveller grippers 14 and 16 and the legs of the traveller is expanded by turning a knob of the head 13. When the traveller breaks, the rotation of the head 13 is stopped to read out the indication. The hollow body 22 adjusts the pressure of the spring 23 to set the load of the equipment. In this manner, the opening size or the like is measured when the traveller breaks.

By the way, as the operating means is rotated, the operating piece (for example, a steel ball) is pressed against the pressure sensor by the tip thereof, but the movable mounting member resists the pressing force of the tip of the operating means due to the elastic force of the traveler.

Therefore, the pressure sensor detects the elastic force of the trapeller, and its maximum value is detected when the trapella breaks. Note that this value is displayed digitally and the display is held until it is reset. In addition, as described above, the movable mounting member moves against the elastic force of the traveler due to the pressing force of the tip of the operating means, but this movement amount is detected by the differential transformer, and the amount of movement is detected by the differential transformer. The maximum value of the quantity is found. As described above, the burst pressure and opening amount at the time of breakage of the traveler are digitally displayed on the display section by the functions of the seat, pressure sensor, and differential transformer. I will explain based on this.

Effects of the Invention Since the trapeller opening fold measurement device of the present invention has the above configuration, it is possible to simultaneously measure the traveler opening size and fracture pressure at the time of traveler breakage, and moreover, the display section displays the numerical value at the time of breakage. Since it is held and displayed, it can be measured reliably.

In addition, there are no individual differences between people taking measurements, and no special skill is required, making it extremely easy to operate. Furthermore, if there is any unevenness in the hardness of the traveler, only the opening size increases while the pressure remains constant, so it has extremely excellent effects such as being able to easily identify the unevenness in the hardness of the traveler.
