Abstract

PURPOSE: To control a temperature distribution of a die uniformly by incorporating a temperature sensing element in the die, monitoring the temperature of the die to forge, by changing the position of an effective heating zone of a heating coil with the progress of the forging.
CONSTITUTION: The heating coil 1 is disposed on the periphery of the die apparatus system, maintaining the temperatures of the upper die 2 and the lower die 3 equal to or adjacent to the temperature of the heated material M to forge. At this time, the temperature sensing element is incorporated in the dies 2, 3 and the heating coil 1 is supported to a column 6 ascendable and descendably.
