Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable open face characters to be printed through reusing a used ink film, by a system wherein after normal printing is finished, an ink film is fed backward in response to an open face character printing command, and transfer of an ink is performed for one sheet of paper. CONSTITUTION:An ink film feeding part 11 is capable of feeding an ink film both forward and backward. Whether printing data are present is discriminated, and when it is discriminated that the printing data are present, a printing operation for one line is performed, followed by paper feeding and ink film feeding. On completing a printing operation for one sheet (one page), it is discriminated whether an open face character printing switch is in an ON state or an OFF state. When an open face character printing command is present, the ink film is fed backward by a one-sheet amount, whereby it is returned to the state in which it has been used for printing the preceding sheet. The printing operation for one line, the paper feeding and the forward ink film feeding are repeated until the operations for the one sheet are completed, thereby transferring.

う欠点がある。

分の通常印字終了後、前記白ぬき文字印字指令の検出に
応答して前記インクフィルム送り手段により前記インク
フィルムを逆方向送りして1シート前の状態にこのイン
クフィルムを戻し、再度1シート分の全ラインのインク
を新しい1シートの印字媒体に転写するようにしたこと
を特徴とする印字方式が得られる。

発明の効果 叙上の如く、本発明によれば、インクフィルムの正逆方
向送り機能を設け、通常印字処理終了後に、プリンタ内
における白ぬき文字印字指令スイッチのオン検出に応答
して、インクフィルムの逆送りを行い、しかる後に1シ
ート分のインクフィルムのインク転写をなすようにして
白ぬき文字印字を可能としたので、使用済みのインクフ
ィルムを再使用して白ぬき文字印字ができるという効果
がある。また、上位装置からの白ぬき文字印字指令コマ
ンド及び印字データ等を同等送出することなく、プリン
タ側のスイッチ操作のみによって簡単に白めき文字印字
が可能となるものである。
