Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a plurality of laser beams with a simple structure by a method wherein a plurality of turning reflecting means are provided and a part of an amplified beam which passes through a slab-shape solid laser material excited by an exciting means and is amplified is turned back by the turning reflecting means to be amplified again and this process is repeated more than once and the turning reflecting means emits a part of the beam at every amplification as an amplified beam.
CONSTITUTION: A laser beam 9 emitted from a laser oscillating part 5 enters directly the end surface 22, which has a brewster angle, of a slab-shape solid laser material 16 and enters a beam splitter 17a through a zigzag light path. A part of the laser beam 9 is emitted by the beam splitter 17a as an amplified beam 23a and a remaining reflected light 24 is made to enter the end surface 22 at the position inside the position where the laser beam 9 enters by a turning reflecting mirror 18a and reflecting mirrors 19a and 20a and enters a beam splitter 17b through a zigzag light path like the beam 9. The same turning reflections are repeated and the amplified beams are emitted from the respective beam splitters.
