Abstract
PURPOSE: To relieve the narrowing of the range of operating source voltage by controlling the unit when the outside source voltage drops so that the power source node on the low potential side of the internal circuit may be the grounding potential and by adding the outside source voltage as it is.
CONSTITUTION: A source voltage drop circuit 1' is built in in order to keep the reliability of MOS transistors (hereinafter referred to as Tr) in a LSI internal 2. It is composed of a voltage dropping MOS Tr T1', a voltage dividing circuit 4 for generating a reference voltage VR and a current mirror type amplification circuit 5. On this occasion, an internal circuit 2 connects a node A on the high electric potential side directly to a VDD power source terminal 3 and also connects a node B on the low electric potential side to the grounding terminal through Tr T1'. A MOS Tr T7 for pullup is connected between an amplifying output node N of the amplification circuit 5 and the VDD power source terminal 3. Tr T1' is controlled to get the node B as the grounding potential so that the voltage VDD may be added to the internal circuit 2 as it is when the outside source voltage VDD drops below to a certain extent.
