Abstract

PURPOSE: To form the images of plural colors having good quality by forming a visible image by processes selected from the first development process, the second development process, a uniform exposure process with a specific color light, and a reelectrification process.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive body 1 passes a light source 8-1, and an electrostatic latent image corresponding to red is developed by a developing device 6 with a positively electrostatically charged red toner, and the red toner image is electrified again to about zero potential by a reelectrifier 7. Thereafter, the photosensitive body 1 is exposed uniformly by a light source 8-1 provided with a red filter, and a negative surface potential is obtained in a part corresponding to black. An electrostatic latent image corresponding to black is developed by a developing device 9 with a positively charged black toner. These devices 6 and 9 develop electrostatic latent images only when these images pass them. Thus, red and black toner images are formed on the photosensitive body 1 and are transferred to a fed recording paper 33 by a transfer device 10 and are fixed by a fixing device 14, and the recording paper on which two- color toner images are formed is ejected out.
