PURPOSE:To provide a compact paper feed device with low power consumption and noise by providing a supersonic motor for pivoting a roller in a paper supply roller pressed against the paper supply device. CONSTITUTION:An annular supersonic motor holder 22 is secured fixedly to a paper supply roller shaft 6, and further four supersonic motors 20 spaced annularly from each other by 90 deg. are secured fixedly to the holder 22. And when the supersonic motor 20 is driven, a pulley 26 provided on the outer periphery with slip stopper 24 is pivoted.
