Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance developed color density and color forming sensitivity, by adding a specified substance as a sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:The thermal recording material comprises a normally colorless or light-colored dye precursor and a color developer for developing the color of the dye precursor by reacting therewith when being heated. In this case, a higher fatty acid hydrazide is incorporated in the material as a sensitizer, whereby a high-sensitivity thermal recording material having excellent heat response characteristics can be obtained. The hydrazide may be, for example, caprylic, capric, lauric, myristic, palmitic or stearic hydrazide. The sensitizer is ordinarily added in an amount of 5wt% based on the amount of the color developer, preferably, 10-400wt%, particularly, 20-300wt%.
