Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible the optical recording with large capacity by laminating alternately 2 kinds of recording layers having different absorption wavelengths. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of the recording layers 10, 11 having respective absorption wavelengths lambda1, lambda2 are laminated on a substrate 9 with a recording layer 12 of a low m.p. having less light absorptivity inserted therebetween. The recording by the holes having different depths is executed by the irradiation of the light spot having the wavelength lambda1, the irradiation of the light spot having the wavelength lambda2 after the irradiation of the light spot having the wavelength lambda1 or the subsequent irradiation of the light spot having the wavelength lambda1, etc., by which the recording with the large capacity is made possible.
