Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent reduction of transmission efficiency of a terminal device by converting a protocol taking the effect of propagation delay into account after a complete communication is established in place of an opposite terminal device to a terminal device or a ground line and connecting the device to a satellite communication line. CONSTITUTION:A satellite communication controller 6a is connected to a transmission side terminal device 1a without changing a link control protocol and connected to a satellite line 5a as a pseudo terminal device of a reception side terminal device 1b. A satellite communication controller 6b applies inverse conversion to a protocol conversion by the device 6a to connect the satellite communication line 5b and the terminal device 1b. Then the terminal devices 1a, 1b are immune to the reduction in the transmission efficiency due to the effect of a large propagation delay specific to the satellite communication line to attain data transmission.
