Abstract

PURPOSE:To offer an information reader resistant to an electrostatic noise while improving the cooling effect by forming a wind flow inlet and a wind flow outlet on a diagonal line of both side faces of a storage box having a printed circuit board in the moving direction. CONSTITUTION:A metal-made PC board storage box 46 is mounted to the side of the rear side of the main body 21 of a carriage 45, a box 46 consists of a PC board base 47 and a PC board cover 48, and the wind flow inlet 49 and the wind flow outlet 50 are formed on diagonal lines of both side faces in the forward/ backward direction of the main body 21. External air is sucked from the wind suction of the front face of the main body 21 by a fan 61, the air flows around the carriage 45 and is delivered externally from the rear part of the main body 21. Thus, the wind to the box 46 flows inside from the wind inlet 49, cools the inside of the box 46 and flows out externally from the outlet 50. In this case, since the two printed circuit boards 51 are placed horizontally, the heat is dissipated equally. Further, they are covered with metal-made covers, the circuits withstand an electrostatic noise.

[Technical Background of the Invention and Problems Therewith] Recently, a thermal transfer type color copying machine that performs color copying using, for example, thermal transfer ink ribbons of a plurality of colors has been considered. This color copying machine is generally comprised of an information reading and receiving device W (scanner section) that reads a document, and an image forming section that transfers and forms image information read by the information reading device onto a sheet of paper. In other words, in the information reading device, a cell i is placed on the document table.
・By optically scanning the original, the image information of the original is read as a light color signal, and the read image information is sent to the image forming section. The image forming section receives the image information sent from the information reading device, converts the image information into color information corresponding to each ink of the thermal transfer ink ribbon, and adjusts the correspondence of the thermal transfer ink ribbon according to each color information. By selecting an ink portion to be printed and thermally transferring the ink of the selected ink portion onto the paper using a thermal head, color copying is performed by sequentially transferring one color onto the paper.

Conventionally, an information reading device used in such a color copying machine is configured as shown in FIG. 8, for example. That is, 1 is a reading device main body, and the upper surface of this main body 1 is provided with an original table (not shown) on which a document is placed and set. A scanner 2 is provided which optically scans a document on a document table by reciprocating in parallel with the front and back direction of the main body 1. This scanner 2 includes a pair of fluorescent lamps 3 that irradiate light onto a document on a document table, and a pair of SELFOC lenses 4 that are provided between these fluorescent lamps 3 and guide light reflected from the document. It is composed of a photoelectric converter 5 such as a CCD type line image sensor that receives the light guided by the SELFOC lens 4 and converts it into an electric signal, and these are supported by a carriage 6, respectively. In addition, on the rear side of the main body 1 of the carriage 6, there is a P

However, the conventional information reading device described above has the following problems. In other words, the PC board storage box 7 is made of a metal plate so that the circuit on the printed circuit board 8 stored inside can withstand static electricity noise from the outside, and is not provided with air holes. Ta. For this reason,
For example, due to the heat generated by the A/D converter chip on the printed circuit board 8 and the heat transferred from the fluorescent lamp 3 that is the light source, the inside of the storage box 7 becomes quite hot, causing malfunction of the device and adversely affecting image quality. Ta. Therefore, it is possible to improve ventilation by forming the storage box 7 with punched metal, for example, but in the conventional configuration, the air passage around the storage box 7 is very narrow, so it is necessary to increase the number of holes. It is not possible to achieve sufficiently effective cooling. Furthermore, if the number of holes is increased too much, it will not be able to withstand static electricity noise.

Further, as shown in detail in FIG. 3, a cooling fan 61 is attached to the rear surface of the main body 21.
1, outside air is sucked in from a wind suction part 35 (see FIG. 4) provided on the front surface of the main body 21, flows around the carriage 45, and is blown out from the rear of the main body 21. As a result, the flow of air toward the storage box 46 is J! as shown by the arrow in FIG. FIG. 7 shows a signal processing circuit that processes the output signal of the photoelectric converter 44. This signal processing circuit separates one line of image information read by the photoelectric converter 44 into white (W), yellow (Y), and cyan (C) information and stores them in buffer memories corresponding to each color. The clock pulse oscillator 71,

6 and a buffer memory 77. That is, analog signals that are serially extracted from the photoelectric converter 44 in response to clock pulses output from the clock pulse oscillator 71 are amplified by the amplifier 72. The signal amplified by the amplifier 72 is converted into white (W), yellow (Y), and cyan (C) color signals by an analog switch 73 that operates in response to an A/D conversion pulse from an A/D conversion pulse oscillator 74. separated into A/D
It is sent to converter 75. The A/D converter 75 is operated by an A/D conversion pulse from the A/D conversion pulse oscillator 74, converts each signal from the analog switch 73 into a digital signal, and sends each signal to the buffer memory 77. Buffer 1 memory 77 stores the signal digitized by A/D converter 75 at the address indicated by address counter 76 . In this way, the photoelectric converter 4
The color information for one line read by 4 is converted into a digital signal and stored in a buffer memory 77 for each color. Note that the information for each color stored in the buffer memory 77 is sent to the image forming section 30 at a predetermined timing.

With the configuration described above, a storage box 46 is mounted on the side of the scanner 41 (carriage 45) in the moving direction, and an amplifier for amplifying the output signal of the photoelectric converter 44 is installed in the storage box 46. A printed circuit board 51 incorporating a circuit and an A/D conversion circuit for converting its amplified signal into a digital signal is stored in a horizontal state, and air currents are placed diagonally on both sides of the main body 21 of the storage box 46 in the front and back direction. By forming an inlet 49 and an air outlet 50, the air flows toward the storage box 46 as shown by the arrow in FIG. It can also withstand static electricity noise from other sources.
