Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise booster pressure and improve the output of an engine by providing a mixture reserving chamber for once reserving mixture subjected to primary compression in a crank chamber between the crank chamber and an intake valve. CONSTITUTION:When a piston 21 ascends in the compression stroke mixture from a carbureter 13 enters a crank chamber 22. In the expansion stroke, the piston 21 descends, a lead valve 15 is closed and a lead valve 24 is opened to introduce the mixture into a mixture reserving chamber 25. In the exhaust stroke, the lead valve 24 is closed to enclose mixture subjected to primary compressure in the crank chamber 22 within said chamber 25 so that the lead valve 15 is opened to send the mixture to the crank chamber 22. In the intake stroke, as an intake valve 17 is opened, the mixture is introduced from said chamber 25 into a cylinder 20. When the piston 21 further descends, the mixture in the crank chamber 22 is transferred to said chamber 25 and introduced into the cylinder 20 while the intake valve 17 is opened.
