Abstract

PURPOSE:To mass-produce inexpensively stable products while avoiding troublesome bend forming by using completely separate focusing plate and tracking plate springs as a couple and connecting both of them via a relay member. CONSTITUTION:A support mechanism is constituted by a couple of focusing plate springs 4a, 4b, the relay member 5 and a couple of tracking plate springs 6a, 6b. A couple of focusing plate springs 4a, 4b and a couple of tracking plate springs 6a, 6b are constituted by having only to cut plate springs at a proper length, and since no bending forming required for a conventional head is necessary, the manufacture is easy. A couple of focusing coils 9a, 9b are fixed to a side face opposing to the tracking direction T of the support member 2 and a couple of tracking coils 10a, 10b are mounted incorporatedly to the outside of the focusing coils.
