Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the compression efficiency by fitting a vane and the cylinder body side while forming a recess in one of them and a projection in the other thereby contacting the vane sideface and the cylinder cover inner face not to produce sliding resistance. CONSTITUTION:The lateral cross-section of vane 20 is such that a projection 24 is provided at the suction chamber 9 side and the projection is formed along the entire length of vane 20. The split groove section formed in the cylinder body 1 has a surface 25 formed with a recess 27 corresponding with the projection 24 of vane 20 where the projection 24 and the recess 25 are fitted each other and the contacting face is formed with sideface forming layer thermally sprayed with super hard abrasion resistant material. While layers 22, 23 thermally sprayed with abradable material are formed on the innerface of cylinder cover 2, 3. Consequently, in advance/retract motion caused through rotation of rotary piston 4, the projection 24 is guided accurately into the recess 27 to keep contact-tight condition between the sideface of vane 20 and the inner face of cylinder cover 2 having no sliding resistance resulting in improvement of compression efficiency.
