あり、このための手段として蒸気式空気予熱器等
の二次予熱器が、再生式空気予熱器入口空気の加
熱用として設置される。これを第1図を用いてよ
り具体的に説明すると、矢印1は再生式空気予熱
器であつて、ダンパ6を通過した排気ガスダクト
12内の排ガスGの熱は回転エレメント2を介し
て空気ダクト13を通過する燃焼用空気Aに伝達
される。なお、加熱に供した排ガスGはダンパ6
aから排出され、加熱された燃焼用空気Aはダン
パ6cから排出される。この方式の再生式空気予
熱器においては、排ガスGの通過により、排ガス
中の灰分等が装置に付着するため、塵介の結りに
よるドラフトロスの増加が制限値を越えた場合
に、もしくは定期的に水洗を行う必要がある。3
