Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は密閉型鉛蓄電池に関する。
従来の技術 一般に、密閉型鉛蓄電池の電槽には、ABS樹脂(アク
リロニトリル−ブタシーン−スチレンの共重合体)が使
用されている。そしてABS樹脂製の電槽からの水蒸気
透過を防ぐため、電槽外面にアルミ箔で被覆したシ金属
製容器に収納したシしている。
発明が解決しようとする問題点 ところが電池の陽極と陰極の端子は電槽上面゛に出てい
るため、金属で電槽表面を被覆することで、電池の取扱
い上で非常にショートの危険性が高くなる。なぜなら、
密閉型鉛蓄電池は密閉構造であるが故に複数個を1つの
組電池として密接して使用する場合が多く、その場合の
組み込みや交換時に隣同志の電池を接触させ易いからで
ある。一方組み込まれる装置側でも、電池外面と機器と
のショートに気を付けねばならなくなる。
本発明は上記問題点を解決することを目的とするもので
ある。
問題点を解決するための手段 上記の目的を達成するために、本発明は、金属で被覆し
た電槽外面を熱収縮性の高分子フィルムで包装子るよう
にしたものである。
作用 これにより金属で被覆された電槽外面と他部品等とのシ
目−トをなくすことができる。
実施例 本発明の一実施例を説明する。
密閉型鉛蓄電池の電槽外面をアルミ箔で接着して被覆し
、これに厚さ0.02mmの塩化ビニルの熱収縮性フィ
ルムで円筒状のものを準備して電池の上面(端子部)以
外を包み、これを100°Cの乾燥機中に1〜2分入れ
て収縮させた。
熱収縮性フィルムとしてポリプロピレン、ポリスチレン
、塩化ビニリデン共重合体等でも上   ′記のように
良い結果が得られた。
発明の効果 上述のように、本発明を採用することによシ、電池内部
からの水蒸気透過を抑制できる金属による被覆が行なえ
、かつ取シ扱い上のショートを防止できる点、極めて工
業的価値大なるものである。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 陽極板、陰極板、および両極板とセパレータとに含浸さ
    れた電解液を収納した合成樹脂製の電槽で構成され、そ
    の電槽外面を金属で被覆した密閉型鉛蓄電池において、
    熱収縮性フィルムで包装したことを特徴とする密閉型鉛
    蓄電池。
