Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a heat exchanger from becoming an abnormal high temperature and permit to realize a highly reliable device by a constitution wherein water is poured automatically until water level, capable of effecting additional heating, is achieved, thereafter, an additional heating means is ignited, in case the water level is decided by a water level deciding means that the additional heating can not be effected in that water level. CONSTITUTION:The water level detecting means 14 employs a pressure sensor 15 and operates the water level by measuring air pressures in an air trap 17 and a tube 16, which are varied in accordance with the water level in a bathtub 2. A water level signal (a), outputted from the water level detecting means 14, is compared with an additional heating control water level VMIN, outputted from an additional heating water level setting means 19, in a comparison means 20 to output a water level deciding signal (b). An additional heating cnontrol circuit 7 is provided with a function to operate the additional heating means 1 when the water level in the bathtub 2 is higher than the allowable level of additional heating and a hot-water pouring control circuit 9 is provided with a function to operate the hot-water pouring means 8 when the water level in the bathtub 2 is lower than the allowable water level of additional heating, whereby there may be no danger to blow boiled hot steam out of a water flowing pipe.

2. Description of the Related Art As shown in FIG. 4, a conventional bath water heater of this type is configured to open a faucet 23 and supply water into a bathtub 2 through at least an upper water pipe 3.
The system is constructed so that the bathtub 2 is filled with water until it reaches a certain amount or more, and then the bathtub 1 is operated to boil the bath.In the event that the bathtub 2 does not contain a predetermined amount of water, the reheating switch 21 is turned on and the burner 5 is turned on. When ignited, that is, during dry firing, K detects an excessive temperature rise in the heat exchanger 4 using a temperature switch 22, and stops the operation of the reheating means 1.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, with the above configuration, when the water level in the bathtub is between 3a and 3b of the upper and lower water pipes and the reheating switch 21 is turned on, the hot water will boil over. If steam blows out from the water pipe 3a, which is very dangerous, or if the water in the bathtub is not fully heated, if the reheating switch 21 is turned on, the temperature switch 22 will operate and stop reheating.
However, there was a problem in that the heat exchanger 4 was abnormally heated by the time the temperature switch 22 was activated, leading to deterioration.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve the above problems, the bath water heater of the present invention includes a water level detection means for detecting the water level in the bathtub, and a water level detected by the water level detection means at a level that allows reheating. 'I' for whether or not
It has a water level judgment means for automatically pouring hot water into the bathtub, a reheating means for reheating the bath, and a reheating switch for turning on and off the reheating. When the reheating switch is turned on, if the water level determination means determines that the water level has not reached a level that allows reheating, the hot water pouring means automatically pours water until the water level reaches a level that allows reheating. After that, the reheating means is ignited.

According to the above-described configuration, when the user turns on the reheating switch, the present invention uses the water level detection means, water level determination means, etc. to determine whether the water level in the bathtub is at a level that allows reheating. When the water level is lower than the level that allows reheating, K automatically pours in the insufficient amount using the pouring means, and after reaching the water level that allows reheating, automatically ignites the reheating means and starts reheating. do. It goes without saying that the reheating means is ignited as soon as the water level is higher than the level at which reheating is possible and the reheating switch is turned on.
