LSIを使用すると、同期確立中以外の情報がとり込め
ない。またHDLCにおいてはFCSデータが取り込め
ないなどにより全情報をもれな(受信し表示するという
用途には適していない。従って従来は、各同期方式毎に
回線データ受信用の専用ハードウェアを用意し、これら
を切換えることにより各種通信条件の情報受信に対応す
るということを行っていた。このため、通信条件が増加
すればそれに従ってハードウェア量も比例して増加する
という問題があった。
