Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a redundant constitution economically, to allow the switch controller of the same kind to be used, and to improve profitability and reliability by dividing non-blocking multistage link connectors by (n) and obtaining (n+1) stand-by type constitution. CONSTITUTION:When a non-blocking switch network has 512 incoming and outgoing lines each, multistage link connection networks (LS) 1-5 are the complete line groups of the same constitution and a duplex constitution is formed between the same terminals of respective incoming and outgoing lines. Each LS consists of the primary switch group consisting of 16 switches (ASW) 11 with 32 incoming lines and 16 outgoing lines, the secondary switch group consisting of 16 switches (BSW) 12 with 16 incoming and outgoing lines each, and the tertiary switch group of 16 switches (CSW)13 with 16 incoming lines and 32 outgoing lines; and the 16 outgoing lines of the respective ASWs 11 are connected to the incoming lines of the 16 BSWs 12 and the 16 outgoing lines of the BSWs 11 are connected to the incoming lines of the 16 CSWs 16. The switch network composed of the LSs 1-5 constitutes a non-blocking switch network as to each of the four LSs.
