Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain sure carrying of an original independently of the incoming state of the original tip by providing a guide member guiding the original from the downstream side face in the original carrying direction in a focusing optical transmission array to an outlet/inlet of the original of a reading section.
CONSTITUTION: The guide member 25 comprising a part 25A in press contact with an (f) direction downstream side face 9A of the focusing optical transmission array 9, a part 25B arranged from the part 25A toward the outlet of the original and guiding the original M and a part 25C supported by a support member 23. The wound original M between the guide member 25 and the array 9 is prevented by pressing the part 25A into contact with the side face 9A. Further, the part 25B is formed concavedly to the inside of the read section to guide the original M to the outlet smoothly. Moreover, the edge of the side face 9A of the part 25B is arranged backward from the end face 9B of the original M of the array 9. Thus, the wound original M in the inside of read section is prevented.
