Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent decompression from being unnecessarily undone when a contact portion is worn, by providing the sliding surface of a decompression cam with a self-locking portion for keeping the decompression.
CONSTITUTION: An operating lever 10 is provided on the outer end of a decompression shaft 9. A decompression cam 12 is provided at the outer end of the shaft 9. A decompression member 14 is disposed under the cam 12 and supported so that the member 14 can be swung up and down. The sliding surface 15 of the cam 12 is provided with a bow-shaped notch so that a non-contact portion 16 is formed. A self-locking portion 17 is provided downstream to the non- contact portion 16 as to the direction of rotation of the cam 12 for decompression, by making a bow-shaped notch. When operation for the decompression is performed, the cam 12 is turned while the sliding surface 15 and the contact surface 18 of the decompression member 14 are in contact with each other, so that the cam and the decompression member are locked on each other by the self-locking portion 17 as the maximum lifting portion of the cam is put into an extreme position along the decompression member.
