Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform dehumidification and regeneration with high efficiency using a heat pump by providing an absorbent or an adsorbent to a heat exchanger constituting the heat pump and utilizing the heat exchanger as evaporator and condenser by changing over the heat pump cyclically.
CONSTITUTION: The air A at high humidity is introduced into a dehumidifying zone 2 where the air is passed through a heat exchanger 13 provided with an absorbent or adsorbent and discharged in the form of dry air B. The coolant 24 of the heat exchanger 13 is evaporated in the tube 21 under reduced pressure at low temp., and the absorbent or adsorbent 23 is cooled by the coolant 24 through fins 22. On one hand, external air D is taken in a regenerating zone 3 where the moisture is desorbed from the absorbent or adsorbent in the heat exchanger 15. The coolant in the heat exchanger 15 is condensed at high temp. and high pressure, and the absorbent or adsorbent is heated by the heat of condensation of the coolant. Next, the heat exchanger 15 is shifted to the dehumidifying zone 2 by making a turn-table a half turn with a motor 6, and the heat exchanger 13 is shifted similarly to the regenerating zone 3. The heat exchanger 15 is changed to work as evaporator and the heat exchanger 13 is changed to work as condenser by changing over a four way changeover valve 12.
