Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent suction air quantity from increasing so unnecessarily, by installing a fresh air leading part in a downstream part of an on-off valve for a suction port for high-speed use, and interposingly installing a label nozzle in the same passage, in case of a suction device provided with both low-and high-speed suction ports. CONSTITUTION:In case of an internal-combustion engine, a low-speed suction port 3 fitted with a low-speed suction valve 1 starting to open and around a suction stroke top dead point and a high-speed suction port 4 fitted with a high- speed suction valve 2 starting to open at the latter half period earlier than the former both are installed. And, such a on-off valve 6 to be closed at a low-speed range but opened at a high-speed range is interposingly installed in the high- speed suction port 4. In a such a suction device, a fresh air leading passage 21 connecting a suction passage 16 at the upstream side of a throttle valve 15 and the high-speed suction port 4 at the downstream side of the on-off valve 6 of each cylinder both are installed. In addition, a label nozzle 22 is installed in a downstream end of this fresh air leading passage 21. With this constitution, a fresh air leading quantity in time of a suction stroke is reduced, whereby an engine speed in time of idling is made possible to be set to a low value.
