PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a device and to perform both-surface recording speedily by providing a inverting and conveying device which receives copying paper to which a toner image is transferred by a transfer part from an image carrier and inverts and sends out it to another transfer device. CONSTITUTION:The toner image on the image carrier 1 is transferred to the copying paper P by a transfer device 10 and the copying paper P is separated from the surface 1 of the carrier by the inverting and conveying device 11 and rotated as shown by an arrow (a). When the toner-image transfer surface of the copying paper P conveyed by the device 11 finishes moving beyond the irradiation position of a flash exposure lamp 18, the device 11 is switched immediately to arrow-(b) rotation and the copying paper P is sent out to a pressure transfer roller 14. 動ローラ12にも複写紙Pの分離受け取シが容易に行わ
れるように直流バイアス電圧を印加するようにしてもよ
い。そのような手段を用いて可動分離部材17を省略し
たり、あるいは圧力転写クーラ14の除電器19側に分
離部材を設けるようにしてもよい。

くそのま\複写紙Pを排出するようにしてもよいし、あ
るいは反転搬送手段11の位置を素通シさせて送り出し
搬送手段15によって複写紙Pを排出するようにしても
よいし、その場合は転写器10を作動させず、転写は搬
送手段15あるいは転写ローラ14に直流バイアスを印
加した圧力転写ローラ14によって行うようにしてもよ
い。
