Abstract

PURPOSE:To use a portable card with contact or no contact and to assure the transmission of data by providing an input/output part cabable of direct transfer of data with a terminal device and a contact pin to a contactless card applying a wireless system. CONSTITUTION:A contactless/contact type portable card consists of a radio equipment containing a transmission/reception antenna 1, a transmission/ reception switch 2, a transmission/reception part 3 and a MODEM part 4, a data processor containing a signal processing part 5 and a memory part 6 and a power supply (battery) 7 which drives said ratio equipment and processor. In addition, a contact pin 8 is provided together with switches 9 and 10 and an external controller 11 for these switches. The controller 11 actuates the switches 9 or 10 according to a radio portable card or contact type portable card. While the battery 7 is turned on and off also with a data processor.
