Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a polyester film from fusing to a thermal head and contrive enhancement in the running property of the head, by providing a specified anti-sticking layer on the surface of the polyester film laminated on a porous base. CONSTITUTION:The anti-sticking layer comprises a mixture of a polyethylene glycol or polyethylene oxide of the general formula HO-(CH2CH2O)mCH2CH2OH and a nonionic surfactant comprising an oxyethylene unit of (CH2CH2O)n. In the formulas, each of (m) and (n) is a number of moles of ethylene oxide added, and m is preferably 20-150, in which case the molecular weight of the relevant compound is about 1,000-6,600. On the other hand, (n) is preferably 1-25. The polyester film can be laminated on the porous base by using a synthetic resin adhesive, or by thermal adhesion or the like without using any adhesive.
