First, the role of the cutting position detection device 1 according to the present invention shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in an automatic towel hem sewing machine will be explained.
is intermittently conveyed from the front right side of the sewing machine by being fed by the rotational drive of the feed roller 41, cut by the cutting means 10 at the left part 3A, and raised by the raising plate 130. The hem part a of the towel is grabbed and the towel is hung horizontally on the workbench 120, 120 by the horizontal conveyor 110, then conveyed and the distortion is corrected by the feed roller 41, and the next hem part 3A is placed by the clamp means 50. The cutting means 1 is cut by sliding the clamp.
In the cutting process set to 0, it is responsible for the pre-process work of the cutting work such as conveyance, correction, correction completion detection, and clamp sliding. The cut and horizontally hung towels are further transported to the rear of the work tables 120, 120 by a transport device, and both hems are folded into three using three rulers, and then the three-folded portions are sewn by a sewing machine. It is something that will be done.

In the embodiment of the present invention, the cutting position detection device 1 is arranged parallel to the lower blade 11 of the cutting means 10 corresponding to the cutting position at a suitable predetermined distance from the lower blade 11 in the running direction of the towel fabric A. A plurality of micro switches 21, 21, .
The tip portions 211a, 211a of ... thrust into the spaced portion 3A consisting only of the warp threads of the running towel fabric A, and the micro switches 21, 21...
Raising means 30 for raising to operate...
and the actuator levers 211, 211...
The pile weave portion 1A of the towel fabric A is located at a position that is the sum of the length l 1 of the plain weave portion 2A of the towel fabric A and the length l 2 of the slack portion in the running direction of the towel fabric from the switch activation position. The feed roller 41 corrects the distortion of the towel fabric A by contacting and feeding it while rotating idly in the plain weave portion 2A, and the distortion is corrected in synchronization with the stop of the rotational drive of the feed roller 41 by the operation of the micro switches 21, 21... The towel fabric A is clamped and the levers 211, 211 are lowered by lowering the lifting means 30.
It is composed of a clamping means 50 for sliding the free time portion 3A of... onto the lower blade 11. The micro switch 21 is also called a limit switch, and is the tip part 2 of the actuator lever 211 that controls the electric circuit.
11a has a thin plate shape so that it can easily be inserted into the loose part 3A of the running towel fabric A, and has a round shape with low contact resistance so that it will not move even if it comes into contact with the pile weave part 1A and the plain weave part 2A. has been completed. In addition, the spring force of the spring 212 is to prevent the lever 211 from moving due to contact with the pile weave portion 1A and the plain weave portion 2A of the lever tip portion 211a, and to prevent the lever 211 from moving by the edge of the plain weave portion 3A. It is suitably selected to move and activate the electrical circuit. A plurality of micro switches 21 (8 to 10 for bath towels) are installed on the switch mounting strip 31 constituting the lifting means 30, parallel to the lower blade 11 of the cutting means 10, depending on the width of the towel fabric A. Arranged and fixed in a row. The switch mounting strip 31 is driven by a pneumatic cylinder 33 that is pivotably supported on the workbench 120 and moves up and down in parallel via a parallel link mechanism 32. The operating stroke of the pneumatic cylinder 33 is set such that the tip portion 211a of the actuator lever protrudes upward from a position below the top surface of the traveling base 101 and hits the free space portion 3A. In addition, to explain the operation of the lifting means 30, after the towel fabric A is placed horizontally between the work tables 120, 120, the lifting means 3 is rotated and driven by the feed roller 41 of the feed device 40.
0 performs a rising operation and is raised while being fed, and the lever tip portion 211a hits the free portion 3A and is moved by the edge of the plain weave portion, and at the same time as the micro switch 21 is activated, it performs a lowering operation and the towel is removed. The lever tip portion 211a is lowered below the level of the upper surface of the running platform 101 so as not to obstruct the sliding movement of the fabric A by the clamping means 50 in the opposite direction to the running direction.

The operating position of the feed roller 41 is adjusted by adjusting the length of the swing support arms 42, 42 which pivotally support the feed roller 41 depending on the towel. Further, the width of the feed roller 41 is selected so that the roller 41 does not come into contact with the selvage b of the towel fabric A, and is designed to improve the effect of correcting distortion of the towel. The feed device 40 is for towel fabric A
At the same time as the horizontal conveyance of the towel fabric is completed, it receives rotational drive from a rotational drive source such as a motor via the power transmission means 43, and descends to a level where it contacts the pile weave portion 1A of the towel fabric but does not contact the plain weave portion 2A.
Simultaneously with the operation of the microswitch 21, the rotation stops and the microswitch 21 moves up and down to the inactive position.

A clamp that holds the distortion of the towel fabric A as shown in FIG. 3 in a corrected state as shown in FIG. means 50
The clamp plate 51 has an angle-shaped clamp plate 51 with a rubber plate or the like affixed to the lower surface that contacts the towel fabric A, and has a pair of horizontal guide rods 54, 54 on both sides, and is slidably moved by a pneumatic cylinder 53; a clamp rod 52 that guides the guide rods 54, 54, fixes the pneumatic cylinder 53, and slides up and down within the guide sliding structure of the workbench 120; It consists of a pneumatic cylinder 55 which is pivotably supported. The pneumatic cylinder 55 operates simultaneously with the operation of the micro switch 21, and clamps the towel fabric A on the clamp plate 51. Next, the pneumatic cylinder 53 is operated and the towel fabric A is pulled back in a clamped state in the direction opposite to the running direction of the towel fabric A so that the loose portion 3A moves above the lower cutting blade 11.
By lowering the upper cutting blade 12, the towel fabric A is accurately cut in a proper state.

According to the cutting position detection device 1 of the present invention having the above-described configuration and operation, the feed roller 41 contacts and feeds the pile weave portion 1A of the towel fabric A, and idles in the plain weave portion 2A to effectively eliminate distortion of the towel. The corrected state is detected by the micro switch 21 which inserts the actuator lever 211 into the idle part 3A, and the corrected state is held by the clamp means 50 and the idle part 3A is can be slid and moved and accurately set in an appropriate state on the lower cutting blade 11, which greatly contributes to the completion of an automatic towel hem sewing machine with stable performance.
