本発明はスエード調シート状物の製造法に係る
ものであり、さらに詳しくは起毛処理後において
も高強力を有するスエード調シート状物の製造法

るため衣料用途に多く用いられるようになり、ま
た人工皮革用の基材としての用途も増加しつゝあ

従来、スエード調シート状物の製造にあたつて
は適当な組織を有する編織物や不織布を起毛し、
ウレタン樹脂等を含浸させて後、バツフイングす
るのが通常である。しかしここに用いられる編織
物や不織布は適当な組織を有するとはいえ、起毛
の対象となる繊維が直接編織物や不織布を構成し
ているため起毛に際してさまざまな支障が生じて
いた。すなわち、組織を構成する繊維が起毛処理
により直接的に起毛切断されるため大巾な強力低
下や組織の収縮をまねく傾向にあつた。強力低下
を防ぐ目的として組織を多重化する方法も行なわ
れているが、この場合得られるシート状物は必然
的に肉厚となることも避けられない。また起毛に
よる組織の収縮の結果としても肉厚となることの
ほか繊維の切断とあいまつて風合も硬く弾力的に
乏しいシート状物しか得られないという欠点があ

本発明者は上記欠点に鑑み、柔軟な風合と弾力
性を有しかつ高強力を有するスエード調シート状
物を得るべく鋭意研究した結果、基体繊維と起毛
対象繊維とからなる糸条により構成された編織物
を用いて起毛することにより目的が達せられるこ

(2) 可溶性繊維を芯糸に起毛対象繊維を被覆した

で起毛処理を施こして後可溶性繊維を溶解除去
するかもしくは可溶性繊維を溶解除去して後起
毛処理を施こし、さらにウレタン加工、バツフ
イングを行なうことを特徴とするスエード調シ

担うべき基体繊維とを区別し、しかもなお可溶性
繊維を介して両者を一体とならしめた糸条で編織
物を構成させ、起毛することにより、柔軟で弾力
性に富み、しかも十分な強力を有するスエード調
シート状物を得る方法である。本発明で得られる
スエード調シート状物はそのまゝで衣料用途に向
けられることはもちろん人工皮革用の基材として

グ糸)をもつて製編織すれば、起毛対象繊維を表
層とした編織物が得られる。該編織物を起毛した
後に可溶性繊維を溶解除去するかもしくは可溶性
繊維を溶解除去した後に起毛することにより、起
毛の際の針布の作用を起毛対象繊維のみにとど
め、起毛の際の強力低下及び収縮による肉厚化を
防ぎ、柔軟で弾力性に富みしかも十分な強力を有
するスエード調シート状物が得られのである。さ
らにウレタン加工、バツフイングを施こすことに

起毛対象繊維及び基体繊維としては可溶性繊維

象繊維と基体繊維は同種の繊維を用いることもで
きるしまた異種のものも用いることができる。可
溶性繊維とは水または無機、有機溶剤に溶解する
繊維を云い、起毛対象繊維及び基体繊維を損傷し
ない溶剤に溶解するものを使用できるが、作業面
から水に溶解する水溶性ポリビニルアルコール系

第一次カバリングにあたつては、芯となる可溶
性繊維の繊度に対する起毛対象繊維の繊度の比が
0.5〜1.2、可溶性繊維に対する起毛対象繊維のフ
イード比が1.1〜1.4となるよう条件および繊維の
組合せを設定するのが好ましい。カバリングは通
常の中空スピンドルを使用することが可能であ
る。このようにして得られた第一次カバリング糸
を用いてさらに基体繊維に第二次カバリングを行
なうのであるが、この際の条件も基体繊維の繊度
に対する第一次カバリング糸の繊度の比が0.5〜
1.2、基体繊維に対する第一次カバリング糸のフ
イード比が1.1〜1.4となるよう設定されるのが好
ましい。芯体繊維に対するカバリング繊維の繊度
の比が0.5未満では起毛に対する効果げが望め
ず、また1.2を超えるとカバリングの実施が固難
となるためである。また芯体繊度に対するカバリ
ング繊維のフイード比が小さいとやはり起毛効果
が乏しく、フイード比はできるだけ大きいことが
好ましいが、また大きすぎても生産性の低下をき
たすので1.1〜1.4の範囲が好ましい。なお第一
次、第二次のカバリングに際して、芯となるべき
繊維に対し複数本のカバリングを行なうことも可

ため起毛に際しての収縮を最小限にとどめること
ができる。また、可溶性繊維が溶解除去されるこ

繊度148dの糸条を得た。この糸条を用いてタテ
120本/吋、ヨコ100本/吋の平織りとなし起毛後
70℃の温水中で水溶性繊維を溶解除去し、さら染
色、ウレタン加工、バツフイングを行ない目付
118.8g/m2、タテ強度15.9Kg/cm、ヨコ強度13.2

シート状物は薄地、柔軟でかつ弾力性にすぐれた

の糸条を用いて、タテ100本/吋、ヨコ90本/吋
の平織りとなりし、常法に従つて起毛後70℃の温
水中で水溶性繊維を溶解除去し、さらに染色、ウ
レタン加工、バツフイングを行なつた。得られた
スエード調シート状物は目付140g/cm、タテ強
度13.3Kg/cm、ヨコ強度12.0Kg/cmの柔軟で弾力
