Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve print quality by providing a backing member which contacts the reverse surface of the exposure point of a beltlike photosensitive body and an elastic member which presses the backing member against the beltlike photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A backing roller 30 as the backing member is provided for a self-scanning type optical writing head 1 at the reverse surface side of the exposure point P of the beltlike photosensitive body 4, and this roller 30 is pressed by a leaf spring 31 against the beltlike photosensitive body 4 toward the optical write head 1. The beltlike photosensitive body 4 is unitized as a photosensitive unit 33 by unit side plates 32, and rollers 2 and 3, the backing rollers 30, and leaf spring 31 are supported by both unit side plates 32.
