Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the connection and packaging of an IC substrate easily and securely by interposing an anisotropic conductive rubber connector for the connection and packaging of element electrode of a dot array substrate side and the IC-side electrode of the IC substrate. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 7 led out to the right and left of a zigzag dot array 18 are divided by a specific number into groups 19, which are spaced out to about 1-2mm.. Every group 19 is connected to the IC-side electrode 22 of the IC substrate 22 to absorb a pitch error. The electrodes 7 of the substrate 1 are connected to the IC-side electrode 23 of the IC substrate 22 by clamping pressure plates 28 and 29 with a screw 30 across the anisotropic conductive rubber connectors 27. This connector 27 is formed by arraying conductors 32 in insulating rubber 31 at constant pitch in a constant direction and allow connections between electrodes up to 200mum electrode pitch.
