Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the detection of a specific cycle of a carrier accurately and for a short time even under an adverse condition in the S/N ratio of a loran C signal by including an envelope detection means, a reference envelope memory means and an envelope collimation means for determining the specific cycle. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency amplifier 2 amplifies a received signal D1 containing a loran C signal received with a receiving antenna 1 and the received signal amplified is fed to a limiter circuit 3, which shapes the received signal amplified into a square wave to be converted into a digital signal of 1 or 0. A shift register 4 is a shift register of k bit (e.g. 160 bit) samples a received signal data D2 digitized as fed from the limiter circuit 3 following a sampling pulse PS fed from a counter 8. A latch circuit 5 is provided to latch each bit output of the shift register 4 and latches a data of 160 bit by a divided pulse D1 of the counter 8 at the time when the sampling of a loran pulse is ended with the shift register 4.
