The present invention has a suitable affinity with the base vinyl chloride resin within the temperature range of processing the vinyl chloride resin film or sheet by the calendaring method to the base vinyl chloride resin powder,
In addition, a film or sheet is produced by mixing granular colored thermoplastic resins with different fluidity and performing a normal calendering process, that is, blending → kneading → melt rolling, and the color changes along the machine direction of the film or sheet. This method is used to obtain a film or sheet in which countless streaks of various thickness and length appear.

Each of these color stripes is rod-shaped or needle-shaped, and is not only dispersed within a plane, but also has a pattern that overlaps in the thickness direction, and the color and shade of each color stripe are subtle. This difference results in a film or sheet with a wood grain pattern that closely resembles natural wood grain. The present invention will be explained in detail below.
The characteristics of the present invention are that the degree of kneading is relatively shallow and the melt-rolling mechanism is used as the main mechanism in order to avoid excessive dispersion of pigment in the base vinyl chloride resin, resulting in a suminagashi pattern. The purpose of the present invention is to use the powder method and mix a granular colored thermoplastic resin that has an appropriate affinity with the powdered base vinyl chloride resin and has a different fluidity.

In the T-die extrusion method, which is another typical film or sheet manufacturing method, the degree of kneading is too deep and pigments are excessively dispersed, resulting in a suminagashi pattern instead of the desired clear color streaks. Here, the base vinyl chloride resin includes not only vinyl chloride homopolymers but also vinyl chloride copolymers such as vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride-ethylene, vinyl chloride-propylene, vinyl chloride-ethylene-vinyl acetate, etc. Additives such as stabilizers, lubricants, plasticizers, reinforcing agents, and colorants are also included as appropriate. The granular colored thermoplastic resin (hereinafter abbreviated as colored granular resin) to be mixed with the base vinyl chloride resin is heated at a normal calendering temperature of 140°C to 23°C.
It is a resin that has a moderate affinity with vinyl chloride resin and has different fluidity, and the number of colors is one or more, and a plurality of colored granular resins are used in combination depending on the purpose.

When the base vinyl chloride resin and the colored thermoplastic resin are both in powder form, the dispersibility is improved, so the color streaks become weak and unclear, and in the extreme, a single color results.

If the base vinyl chloride resin is granular, excessive shearing stress is applied during the kneading process, which also causes the color streaks to become unclear.

In the present invention, the colored granular resin has a 10 mesh bath ~
By setting the particle size to 100 mesh, it is possible to suppress dispersion and to prevent the pigment from dissolving in the base vinyl chloride resin as much as possible. Of course, in order to make color streaks appear clearly, as mentioned above, not only the particle size limitation but also the compatibility and fluidity between the base vinyl chloride resin and the colored granular resin are important factors.

If the compatibility is too good, the pigment will be excessively dispersed and the color streaks will become unclear, and if the compatibility is too poor, the particulate resin will remain scattered and no color streaks will be formed, and the film or sheet will become brittle and cannot be used. Even when the fluidity is the same, color lines become unclear. Examples of thermoplastic resins that meet the above conditions include polymethyl methacrylate resin, AS resin, AB
SM resin etc. are suitable.

The amount of the colored granular resin added can be changed depending on the desired pattern and the pigment concentration of the colored granular resin, but it is preferably about 0.1 to 10 parts by weight from the viewpoint of appearance of color streaks, color tone, strength, etc. Although only one color of colored granular resin may be added, the effect is further enhanced by mixing several colored granular resins to bring out the natural woody feel.

Individual thin color streaks of each color are formed, and the overall color tone is synthesized, creating a deep woody texture. In particular, when a resin with good transparency is used for the base PVC resin and the colored granular resin, overlapping color streaks appear in the thickness direction of the film or sheet, resulting in a deep and voluminous wood grain pattern that cannot be produced by printing. A film or sheet is obtained.

In addition, when a non-colored transparent granular thermoplastic resin that has a moderate affinity with the base vinyl chloride resin is mixed with the base vinyl chloride resin and colored granular resin, subtle shades of color can be created in areas other than color streaks. In some cases, it is even more effective. This will be explained below using examples.
