Pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes are made by forming a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer with a thickness of 25 to 150μ mainly made of rubber and/or synthetic resin on a tape support. It is made by applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive solution based on rubber and/or synthetic resin thereon, and then drying to remove the solvent.

However, in recent years, there has been a demand for the development of a technology to form a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on a tape support without using the above-mentioned solvents, from the viewpoint of eliminating pollution or saving energy during the manufacturing process. Thermoplastic pressure-sensitive adhesives based on copolymers have been developed. However, while the thermoplastic pressure-sensitive adhesive has excellent adhesion, holding power, and tack at room temperature, when exposed to high temperatures (approximately 70'C), it flows and deforms within the adhesive layer. , there is a drawback that the holding force decreases rapidly.

According to the present invention, by interposing the thermoplastic elastomer layer having a softening temperature at least 5° C. higher than that of the thermoplastic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, sufficient adhesion, holding power, and tack can be obtained even with a thin adhesive layer. It is characterized by the fact that effective holding force can be obtained even when exposed to high temperatures by minimizing the flow deformation inside the layer.

Therefore, regardless of whether the above copolymer is used alone or in a mixture, the softening temperature of the material constituting the elastomer layer is equal to the softening temperature of the material constituting the thermoplastic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, which will be described later. It is necessary to be at least 5°C higher than the temperature, preferably 10 to 50°C higher than the temperature. If it is below 5°C, the dynamic behavior during heating is unlikely to be substantially different from the material constituting the adhesive layer, so it is difficult to achieve the desired temperature. The holding power at high temperatures cannot be obtained. It is preferable that the elastomer layer made of the above material has a Young's modulus of 8 to 100 k9/Clt from the viewpoint of high temperature properties and flexibility of the adhesive tape. A typical thermoplastic elastomer layer in the present invention contains 10 parts by weight of a styrene-butadiene block copolymer as the main ingredient, 10 to 20 parts by weight of a tackifier resin (softening point of 50°C or higher), 0 ~5
A mixture consisting of a diene copolymer of a weight part and a stabilizer of 0.1 to 1 part by weight (softening temperature of about 100 to 150°C)
), and the elastomer layer made of such a mixture is suitable for both a thermoplastic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer mainly composed of a styrene-isoprene block copolymer and a tape support. In addition to exhibiting adhesive properties,
It has the function of not reducing the holding power of adhesive tape at high temperatures. The thermoplastic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer used in the present invention contains 10 to 30 parts of a tackifier resin (softening point of about 50° C. or higher) based on 100 parts by weight of a styrene-isoprene block copolymer as the main component. A mixture (softening temperature of about 75 to 110°C) containing 0 to 50 parts by weight of a diene copolymer and 0.1 to 1 part by volume of a stabilizer and a softening agent such as a natributene process oil is added. It has tack and adhesive properties at room temperature.

The Young's modulus of the adhesive layer is preferably 0.8 to 8k9/c from the viewpoint of adhesion to the surface to which it is applied. Note that the tape support is not particularly limited, and may be a nonwoven fabric, woven fabric, paper, metal foil, plastic film, or sheet.

The thickness of the thermoplastic elastomer layer and thermoplastic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer sequentially formed on the tape support varies depending on the types of the tape support, elastomer layer, and adhesive layer, but preferably the adhesive layer The thickness of the elastomer layer and the adhesive layer is 50μ or less, practically about 5 to 40p, and the thickness ratio of the elastomer layer to the adhesive layer is 1:0.1 to 1.5s, practically 1:0. It should be in the range of 3 to 1.1.

The adhesive layer is too thick compared to the elastomer layer, e.g. 1.5
If it is more than double that, even if the elastomer layer itself is thin and thin as a whole, it is not preferable because it will not be possible to prevent the holding power of the tape from decreasing at high temperatures. The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of the present invention is manufactured by, for example, forming a thermoplastic elastomer layer on a tape support using a method such as casting or melt extrusion, and forming a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer thereon using the same method. Alternatively, it can also be produced by melt-extruding two layers of an elastomer layer and an adhesive layer and superimposing them on the tape support surface.
