Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. クランク軸が車中方向に沿うように配置された横置型エ
    ンジンと、上記エンジンに固定されたデフハウジングに
    支持され車中方向に沿う互いに共通の軸線を有する左右
    出力軸と、上記左右出力軸と左右駆動輪との間に介装さ
    れそれぞれ両端を対応する出力軸および駆動輪に自在継
    手を介して連結された左右駆動軸とを備え、上記デフハ
    ウジングが車体長手方向中心線から車中方向の一方にオ
    フセットされた自動車において、上記左右出力軸の共通
    軸線が上記デフハウジングがオフセットした側が他側よ
    りも低くなるように傾斜され、上記左右駆動軸のうち長
    い方の駆動軸がその長手方向に関して中間部分で自在継
    手を介して分割され、同長い方の駆動軸における該中間
    部分の自在継手と対応する出力軸との間の部分が上記エ
    ンジンに回転自在に支持されたことを特徴とする自動車
    の駆動装置。
