Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain an easy remote fault diagnosis by connecting on a serial line a display part and a key input part of an NC device. CONSTITUTION:An IOC2 is connected serially to a CRT control CPU10, and a CRT3 and a keyboard 4 are connected to the CPU10. In a remote diagnosis mode a changeover switch 12 of an NC device is first switched to the side of an acoustic coupler 13. Then the transfer speed on a serial line is set again in accordance with the coupler 13. In such a way, the connection is effective between a CRT control part 14 of the NC device and a CRT control part 16 at the remote diagnosis side. Thus the remote control is possible for both the key operations and a CRT display of a normal NC device. In this case, a remote diagnosis is also possible with use of a normal self-diagnosis function.
