Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely grip an object and smoothly lift up the same without the object coming off, by providing a mechanism for clamping and lifting up a ring- like article in a gripping device used in an industrial robot, etc. CONSTITUTION:A gripping device is composed of a rotating member 1 which revolves about a common shaft 2 as a center, and a push-up member which rotates the rotating member 1 by a predetermined amount and thereafter revolves the same about the common shaft 2 as a center. The rotating member 11 itself rotates about rotating shafts 12 as a center, and further revolves about the common shaft 2 as a center. Further the arrangement is such that gripping members 13 are attached, respectively to the front ends of the rotating shafts 12 which are projected from two rotating bearings 11 fitted onto the common shaft 2. Each gripping member 13 is formed of an L-like shape plate so that a projection 14 on the gripping member 13 is positioned apart from the rotating axis of the associated rotating shaft 12, and the lower ends of both gripping members 13 are made approachable to each other. A push-up member receiver 15 is formed projected from the top section of each gripping member 13. Further, an intermediate shaft 32 pushes up the push-up member receives 15.
