Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect whether a rotor is normally rotated or not with a simple circuit by detecting an electromotive force by a permanent magnet rotor. CONSTITUTION:An exciting pulse is applied to an exciting winding 22, and an electromotive force due to a permanent magnet rotor 21 is passed to the winding 22 by a gate circuit 24 only during nonconduction period of an exciting pulse. An electromotive force waveform is integrated by an integrator 25 to compare it with a reference voltage by a voltage comparator 26. The voltage comparator 26 generates a pulse output synchronized with a drive pulse when the rotor normally rotates and generates a rotation detection signal becoming always zero when not normally rotates by suitably selecting the reference voltage.
