Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent completely positioning information from being out of phase by generating a position and an address signal in single-time writing. CONSTITUTION:A clock and a write start signal which are sent out externally are received, and the position signal Sp and address signal Sa are sent out of a position signal generating circuit 11 and address signal generating circuig 12 to an OR circuit 14 and put together into a composite signal Sig, which is inputted to an amplifier 15. On the other hand, a mode designating signal is sent out to a write gate generating circuit 13, which outputs a write gate signals WG1 or WG2 to the amplifier 15 on the basis of the mode designating signal. The amplifier 15 amplifies the composite signal Sig selectively only in a period wherein the signal synchronizes with the inputted WG1 or WG2, and sends out a write signal to a writing head 6 set at a prescribed position previously by a driving part to write corresponding information on a magnetic disk.

Both are formed by writing the same information separately for each half track. Since one trunk is written and formed in this way, if the writing timings of both are shifted, signal distortion will occur during reading, and accurate position information will not be obtained.

The above write operation is performed in the positioning information writing device shown in FIG. 6, in response to a clock and a write start signal sent from the outside, and a position signal S is sent from a position signal generation circuit 11 and an address signal generation circuit 12, respectively.
p and the address signal Sa are sent to the OR circuit 14,
The signals are combined by the OR circuit 14 and the combined signal Sig is input to the amplifier 15. On the other hand, a mode designation signal is sent to the write gate creation circuit 13, and the write gate creation circuit 13 outputs the write gate signal WGI or 2 to the amplifier 15 based on the mode designation signal. The amplifier 15 amplifies the composite signal Sig and receives the input -G1 or W.
Only the period synchronized with G2 is selected and amplified, and the drive unit (
(not shown) sends a write signal to the write head 6 set at a predetermined position, and corresponding information is written on the magnetic disk.
