Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable simple insert-casting and joining of a molding member and cylindrical body by plunging one end of the cylindrical body into a cavity, holding said body between a cope and drag and fitting slidingly a stopping piston into the cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:A device for insert-casting of one end of the cylindrical body 14 to the molding member 32 is provided with holding grooves 15, 16 for holding the body 14 to the respective joint surfaces of the cope 1 and the drag 2 delineating the cavity 3 as well as a guide hole 17 and guide grooves 18, 19 of the stopping piston 31 fitted slidingly into the body 14. The cope 1 and drag 2 are thus closed and the body 14 is surely held between grooves 15 and 16 by the piston 23. A cylinder 29 is extended to position the piston 31 into the body 14 and the molten metal poured into a molten metal pool part 4 is poured by a pressurizing piston 9 through a runner 5 into the cavity 3. The molten metal is pressurized by a pressurizing piston 13. The simpler joining stage for the molding member and the cylindrical body is thus made possible.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be explained. As shown in FIG. Place it on the holding groove 16 of the mold 2. At this time, when one end of the cylindrical body 14 is expanded into a trumpet shape (7) and the other end of the cylindrical body 14 is brought into contact with the stepped portion 21, one end of the cylindrical body 14 is placed in the recess 7 of the lower die 2. It protrudes into the part where the cavity 3 is to be defined.

At this time, the molten metal does not flow into the cylinder 14 up to the portion regulated by the hot water stopping piston 31. Further, in order to suppress the generation of evacuation cavities during solidification of the molten metal, the secondary pressure piston 13 is lowered to apply local pressure.

When this state of pressurized filling of the molten metal into the cavity 3 continues for a certain period of time, the molten metal solidifies. Therefore, first, the cylinder 29 is retracted] 2 and the hot water stopper piston 31 is moved to the cylinder body 14.
Move backward from the inside and raise the upper mold 1. After further raising the knockout pin 11 and the primary pressure piston 9 and taking out the molded member 32 and the cylindrical body 14 from the lower die 2, the necessary finishing process is performed to form the cylindrical body as shown in FIG. A product in which the molded member 14 and the molded member 32 are integrally joined can be obtained.
