Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect a circuit deficiency by means of a current check by using a signal from the external part of a differential amplifier to cut off a constant current in the differential amplifier thereby cutting off or decreasing the steady- state current of the entire circuit.
CONSTITUTION: When a voltage of an external control input terminal INo is low, analog switches 21, 23 are turned on, switches 20, 22, 24, 25 are turned off and P-MOST transistors (TRs) 10∼12 are brought into common gate connecting condition, a current mirror is constituted and a constant current flows. Since N- MOSTRs 15, 16 constitute a current mirror circuit, the constant current flows always. When a potential at a terminal INo is high, since a V potential is applied to gates the the TRs 10, 11 and a V- potential is applied to sources and gates of the TRs 15, 16, 17, no current flows and the source and drain of TRs 13, 14 are brought into a high impedance and no current flows.
