Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable ensurance of momentary restarting ability, by a method wherein, under a given operating condition, a pressure within a feed ir pipe between the compressor of a turbo-supercharger and a throttle valve is guided to the reference pressure chamber of a fuel pressure controller. CONSTITUTION:A reference pressure chamber 30 within a fuel pressure controller 27 is connected to an electromagnetic type switching valve 36 through a pipe 35, and two pressure introducing ports 38 and 39, changed over by a valve body 37, are located to the valve 36. The one introducing port 38 is connected to a part A down a line from a throttle valve 23 in an intake air pipe through a pipe 40, and the other introducing port 39 is connected to a part B up a line from the throttle valve 23 and down the line from the compressor of a turbo-suprcharger by means of a pipe 41. This, during the momentary restarting, auses changing-over of the valve body 37 of the switching valve 36, and causes the pressure of the part B to be introduced to the reference pressure chamber 30 by means of the pressure introducing port 39. In which case, the pressure of the part B is higher than that of the part A, and thereby a fuel pressure exerted on a fuel injecting valve 24 is increased, and this enables achievement of a desired purpose.
