Abstract

PURPOSE:To build a steel-pipe pile having a high support force, by a method wherein a rod having an excavating mechanism and a water feed mechanism is located in a steel pipe, excavation is effected as the steel pipe and the rod are rotated, and water is injected toward an excavating surface. CONSTITUTION:When earth in a pipe 9 is excavated by means of a cutter 10 of an excavating mechanism 5 through rotation of a steel pipe 9 and a rod 4, muddy water is injected from the bottom of the excavating mechanism 5 toward an excavating surface. Thereafter, the muddy water and excavated earth are raised within the pipe 9 and are discharged to the outside. After the muddy water and the excavated earth are recovered to a pit 12 with the aid of a recovery pump 11, the muddy water is returned in the pipe 9 again with the aid of a pump 13. This prevents breakage of a stream around the pipe 9, resulting in the possibility to build a steel-pipe pile, having a high support force, in a ground.
