Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a noise made by pulsation of pressure in a suction pipe by providing, in a cylinder, a space which is adjacent to a suction port and opens into a suction chamber, and alleviating the quantity of pressure lowering in the suction chamber due to change of capacity and further reducing variation of pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A space 24 communicating with a suction chamber 21 at a crank angle θs of a piston 17, suction stroke of which is started upon full opening of a suction port 21, is provided in a cylinder 14 along with an introductory passage 25. A piston 17 is driven by means of a rotary shaft 13 in a compression mechanism part 12. The rate of capacity change, accompanying rotation of the piston 17 in the early stage of a suction stroke, with respect to the capacity of a suction chamber 19 is reduced due to the space 24, and the quantity of pressure lowering in the suction chamber 19 due to capacity change is reduced. Since a refrigerant in the suction pipe 22 flows into the suction chamber 21 due to its inertia in the early stage of a suction stroke, the quantity of pressure lowering in the suction chamber 21 is further alleviated, and much excessive inflation does not occur. Accordingly, suction power loss in the early stage of suction stroke can be reduced and improvement of efficiency of the compressor and reduction of the noise can be attained.
