Abstract

PURPOSE:To add a function performing automatic input/output of a document for an FAX function and other terminal device on a bus with simple constitution by adding an information interface and a voice interface to the FAX device to attain the signal to be connected to a local network. CONSTITUTION:A document input/output device 5 is connected to a home bus 6 for information communication and the device 5 is provided with an FAX section 1 including a document reader and a printer section. A mode changeover switch 2 is connected to the FAX section 1, the voice interface 3 and the information interface 4 are connected respectively to moving contacts FAX and DTE of the switch 2. The bus 6 is connected to the interfaces 3, 4 respectively, and various terminal devices 7 and a home use private branch of exchange system (MPBX)8 are connected to the bus 6. Then the device 5 is connected to the local network and the function of automatic input/output of the document with other terminal devices 7 on the bus 6 is added to the FAX function with simple constitution.
