PURPOSE:To prevent recording and reproducing in an unstable tape running state by outputting a recording command simultaneously with outputting of a reproducing command from a master tape player and setting a slave tape recorder to the recording state by a delay circuit. CONSTITUTION:The output from a frequency generator 7a of a capstan motor 7 is subjected to F-V conversion in a speed control circuit 9 through a signal processing circuit 8 and is compared with a reference voltage to supply a control signal to a torque command circuit 11. Meanwhile, psi-V conversion is performed in a phase control circuit 10 to supply a control voltage to the torque command circuit 11 of the capstan motor 7. The state where the rotative speed of the capstan 7 is constant is detected by a voltage detecting circuit 14 to output a signal 15 to the slave tape recorder.
