Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify pressure insertion operation and prevent uneven adhesion of lubricant by inserting under pressure a rubber member into a metal housing in lubricant for pressure insertion such as process oil. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive 7 is applied on the surface of a rubber ring 6 and is left desiccating. Lubricant for pressure insertion 8 such as process oil is filled in a bath 9 and a metal housing consisting of a pulley rim 1 and an inner hub 3 is set at a prearranged interval inside the bath 9. Rubber ring 6 coated with an adhesive 7 is held with a pressure insertion jig 10 and then is immersed in the bath for a prearranged time. If the adhesive 7 is resolved with a lubricant for pressure insertion at proper temperature, the jig 10 is lowered to insert under pressure the rubber ring 6 into a clearance of a metal housing 1, 3 and then the metal housing is taken out from the bath. After this procedure, the metal housing is heated so that the adhesive is hardened. Thus it is possible to carry out uniform and feasible pressure insertion because it is done inside the bath.
