Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify control by holding a center adjustment sensor at the top edge position of the chuck unit of an automatic center adjusting apparatus and carrying-out the detection of a positioning hole and center adjustment at a same time. CONSTITUTION:A center adjustment sensor 4 is held at the top edge position of a chuck unit 3 installed onto the arm 5 of an automatic center adjusting apparatus 2 constituted of X- and O-axis table 6, and the detection of a positioning hole and center adjustment are carried-out at a same time. Therefore, easy control is permitted, since special sensors such as cameras and image sensors are not required, and a computer is not used. Further, since each increase of the transfer amount alphaX and alphaO is set smaller than the diameter of the positioning hole, overlooking the positioning hole is prevented, and the center adjusting function can be developed surfficiently.
